Using cryptochainer.com to instantly sync your PiVX wallet 







If you're here, then it is safe to assume you have downloaded a new PiVX wallet and realized it is 3yrs behind in the blockchain update. And by now you have seen how long it takes to get synced or updated....  days and days.

 There are 2 options;
  1. wait a week to sync normally   OR
  2. manually download block chain files instantly.
If you feel confident enough to download a *.ZIP file and extract it into a folder, then you are qualified to download and update your wallet within a few hours.

I demonstrate this method in this YouTube video   Instantly Sync PiVX Wallets Online
The process is as follows;
  • backup your wallet
  • exit your wallet
  • visit the site containing a recent database of chain data (for example)   www.cryptochainer.com
  • locate your Pivx Coin from the list of available files
  • download your Zip file onto your hard drive  (a large file- 2Gb+)
  • backup your wallet if you haven't already!
  • disconnect from the internet
  • locate your wallet files containing Wallet.Dat  [usually "c:\Users\your*name\AppData\Roaming\PiVX"]
  • copy your Wallet.Dat file onto a USB drive away from your hard drive as a precaution
  • delete all files and folders in the wallet EXCEPT Wallet.Dat
  • copy the ZIP file into this folder and then extract all files eg. Winzip/WinRar
  • your wallet folder will now be populated with numerous new files and your original Wallet.Dat
  • you can delete the original ZIP file if it is still in your wallet folder.
  • start your wallet and wait while the new database is being built and loaded
  • you will notice your wallet is now synced to a very recent date
  • connect to the internet and wait for your wallet to finish syncing (for a few hours)

 Mission Accomplished!

This method can be used to "Turbo Boost" your wallet's syncing time for many different alt Coin Currency, including (and not limited to);
  • Reddcion
  • PotCoin
  • PivX
  • BlackCoin
I have used the above Crypto Coin wallets to test this method, and they all worked.

 cryptochainer.com is the only database that i have tried so far. It has dozens and dozens of Crypto Coins to choose from and seems to be rather up-to-date considering the effort required to keep the site current. I recall seeing a link in there if you want to donate some coins their way.
